From the moment Harvey was born, he was destined to be a Guide Dog. As a young pup, he lived with his Puppy Development Volunteer, who taught him the first cues and skills he needed to know. Harvey's days were filled with learning and fun, preparing him for his important role.

Becoming a Guide Dog

Harvey loved attending training sessions with Guide Dogs Tasmania. He learnt essential skills to guide individuals living with low or no vision, such as navigating busy streets and recognising traffic signals. But training wasn't just about hard work; He enjoyed running in the park, taking trips to the beach, and playing with other dogs.

Life with Emily 

In 2019, Harvey was matched with Emily, a young woman whose life was transformed by his companionship. Together, they navigated everyday tasks to special events and dressing up. Harvey gave Emily the joy, confidence, and independence that every young person strives for. They became an inseparable duo.
